Türk Ulusu'nun bagimsizlik ve özgürlük umutlarinin inanca dönüstügü, umutlarin yeniden yeserdigi, ulusal kurtulus atesinin yakildigi, bagimsizliga,  Türk Gencligi’nin aydinliga ve gelecege olan inancinin sembolu 19 Mayis Atatürk'ü Anma Genclik ve Spor Bayrami'ni  Olimpiyat buz patencisi Tugba Karademir  ve uluslararasi maratoncu Mehmet Danis'in katildigi bir törenle 16 Mayis Pazar günü kutladik.

Youth and Sports Day Celebration

with TUGBA KARADEMIR and MEHMET DANIS

The Turkish Society of Canada AND Turkish Community Heritage Centre of Canada co-hosted Youth and Sports Day event on Sunday, May 16, 2010 for celebration of May 19, Commemorating Ataturk, Youth and Sports Holiday.  The event started with presentations by Olympic figure skater Tugba Karademir and international marathon runner Mehmet Danis. Presentations followed by a special on-ice performance by Tugba Karademir and shortly after the ice was available for free family skating while popular Turkish music played in the background.
